The work is progressing quickly. Less than three weeks have passed since the first breaking of ground and the foundation and subfloor have been completed. In the pic below, you can see the front of the house. The space in the center will be behind the front steps. On either side are the vents for the crawlspace.
As of Tuesday, June 24th, the subfloor had been laid and the basic framing for the walls was laid out. The wall framing will begin later in the week. The next pic is the floor area for the kitchen, located on the left rear of the house.
And, finally, you see below the boards that give an ideas of where walls will be. This is the rear of the house.
We have been busy purchasing plumbing fixtures. Currently there are several boxes of faucets, tub/shower fixtures, towel rods, etc. stacking up in our house. It's really been fun to be making these decisions. But - who knew that picking out toilets could be so difficult! The possibilities are endless!!!
