our children- simply hug-a-licious!

I've decided the best way to describe our recent learning curve is to equate it with a roller-coaster. Just when I think we are getting on the "up" side of our new life and schedule, I find that just ahead is a plunging hill, a hairpin curve, and a quadruple loopty-loop! Thankfully, I feel that our roller-coaster is new with well fitted safety devices. I just wish we had an emergency shutdown switch. But God is so faithful and keeps us from loosing our sanity (let alone our lunch) on this incredible ride.

We had the joy of a visit from Matthew's mom, Claudia, over the weekend. It was so good to have an extra set of hands to tend to the girls and an adult to chat with. The girls enjoyed Grandma and we even put her to work picking up mulch in her handy little truck!

Our girls are slowly adjusting to life with a baby in the house. Sometimes things don't go the way they wish, so they've become creative in pleading their cases. Elly, as you can see here, pulls out the poutty puppy eyes to try to sway our decisions. How can we possibly resist?

Ezekiel is doing well. He will be three weeks old tomorrow. At his one week appointment, he had gained 2 ounces and grew 1/4 inch! He is getting more alert each day, taking interest in people and things near him.
All in all we are growing through this time, leaning heavily upon the Lord, and looking at each new day as a time to teach, learn, and grow in grace.
