the living dictionary

Here's a little vocabulary lesson for you all. Enjoy!
cacophony - the discordant sound that fills the house when Anna, Rachel, and Elly argue about who gets to play the piano next, thus waking up the baby;
hysteria - Anna, Rachel, and Elly playing tag (in the house) using outside voices;
frenzy - when Daddy joins in the hysteria;
pandemonium - the Peters family trying to leave the house on time for church;
repartee - witty discussion that immediately follows a parental lecture on bathroom etiquette;
acting out - Rachel and Elly pretending that the Little People farm animals are getting a lesson in bathroom etiquette and the repartee that follows in the barnyard.
