kids in motion

I am thankful for God's promises, which are "new every morning." Sometimes the valleys are deep, but the mountains are wonderfully soaring.
Those times of joy are, as I have found, wonderfully displayed in the lives of my children. They are all motion, all kid, and a whole lot of joy! For example, Elly came wandering into the kitchen last night, "talking" on their play phone. She climbed onto the stool at the island and informed me that she was talking with Mary Poppins. (I hope I'm not being replaced!)
How about Rachel? She was drawing a picture for me to post on the refrigerator. In her picture are several "people" surrounded by flowers, the sunshine, and hot, burning lava. But the people were safe, because "God made the lava and keeps the people safe. And they are wearing special coats." (I'll post that picture sometime.)
Then there is Anna. After openning some junk mail the other day, Anna decided the envelopes were too good to toss in the trash. So, she donned them on her feet and paddled across the floor. "They call her Flipper! Flipper!"

There are many things that I don't get. That's why seeking those "glimpses" of the Holy Spirit at work in the lives of myself and my children are so important. Jesus shows his work in many ways. Sometimes they are not easy ways, while other times are sweet, and still others are just hilarious.
