A very eventful season...Part 1

I am very behind in my blogging - but with good reason.
On October 1st, I was ordered to be on strict bedrest by my doctor as I was showing signs of extremely early labor. For the next 5 1/2 weeks I found myself challenged to trust the Lord for his sovereignty and goodness, our family was made to stretch as many people were in and out of our home to care for the children, and we all were hyper-focused on our little baby's health and safety. It would be stretching the truth to say it was easy. Even now I look back and say to myself "How on earth did we survive?"
Anyway, many things happened during that time. Here's a quick review of October and the first half of November.
Our "school room" was temporarily moved from the loft to Mommy's bedroom. The girls and I did our best to keep some continuity with our school work. They did pretty well and seemed more intrigued by the fact that one could have school time anywhere in the house, even on Momma's bed!

At the end of October Matthew and the kids kept busy with two Renaissance parties: one for our church and the other for our homeschool co-op. Anna dressed as a Renaissance queen and Rachel and Elly were Renaissance princesses.

Zeke, on the other hand, attended our church's party as a farm boy. He is just way too handsome in his overalls and tractor hat. He also started walking in October. Now he is borderline running - anything to keep up with his sisters.

With October nearing it's end, we could only imagine what November would hold.
