pause, listen, look, ponder

"All mankind will fear;
         they will proclaim the works of God
       and ponder what he has done."

The crispness of autumn, easing of heat, signaling a cooling of days...
       Growing season has passed, the harvesting complete -- now a time to pause.

A challenging thing, for pausing is a verb - an action to be done with slow,
       gradual purpose.  Autumn is a good time to pause.

What shall we do when we pause? What shall we say or hear or feel?
       Is not God in all things? If we pause, will we not see God, hear God, and feel
           Him all around?

Ponder Him as you pause. I will help my husband, myself and my children
       to pause, to ponder God. The reward will be sweet. Our hearts will swell.

Not one moment will be lost when we pause and ponder.
       Great is the reward - even now.

"Let the righteous rejoice in the LORD
         and take refuge in him;
      let all the upright in heart praise him!"
                                                           ~Psalm 64:9-10
