Summer is certainly waning, with autumn just around the bend. I'm thankful for the hope of cooler weather. Nonetheless, life moves forward, regardless of the climate or season. The girls continue to grow, change, and learn. Anna and Rachel have started school. We are keeping up with our memory work (scripture and the Shorter Catechism), reading and handwriting, and basic math. Added to that we will do art via a book called Drawing With Children, as well as learning sign language.

The house is coming along, with the final preparations being made to do siding, shingles, interior flooring, and drywall. The electrician and plumber are currently at work to wire the house and put in the tubs, showers, and necessary rough-ins. So there's not much change visually from the last photos I posted.

All in all, life is busy but good. The Lord shows us daily how he is caring for us, providing our momentary and long term needs. Matthew and I sometimes feel swamped, but are always kept in balance by the joy and laughter (as well as the fusses and grumbles) of our girls.

As always, the Lord is good.
